Whilst we do not expect you to be an expert in your field, to work at Flannery you will need the willingness to learn and the ability to apply any previous experience to your new role. All training and support will be given on systems and processes to ensure you have all the necessary tools to perform your duties to the best of your abilities. There will be the opportunity to develop your skills across different facets of our business as you start your career. Our aim is to enable you to achieve your ambitions and grow with Flannery as we in turn target continued growth in the sector.

You will commit to your professional development plan, set out at the beginning of your apprenticeship program, and understand the importance of managing both professional and learning responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake duties in full accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Gain product knowledge on an ongoing basis to enable yourself to advise and assist customers in their requirements
  • Manage training records (in-house and external training)
  • Update information on the Company’s system
  • Book medicals, review and authenticate operators’ medical certificates
  • Send New Starter forms via text and follow up with operators. Ensure all forms are completed and recorded on the system

Review and highlight any medical issues to the Occupational Health Nurse

  • Liaise with PPE suppliers and order PPE. Update records on Company’s system and on Excel spreadsheets
  • Answer telephone queries
  • Ad hoc duties where necessary
  • Ensure all personal data is collected, stored, and processed in line with Data Protection Act (DPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Company policies

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • GCSE A-C / 4-9 English
  • Previous administration experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to use own initiative in managing workload without direct supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management personal qualities
  • Strong attention to detail
