This week (15 October 2018) P. Flannery Plant Hire (Oval) Ltd will be the first UK hirer to take delivery of the innovative EU Stage IV compliant Komatsu HB215LC-3 hybrid excavator.
Part of an 11-unit order, these first machines bring Flannery Plant Hire’s total spend with Komatsu this year (2018) to over £2.9m. Reinforcing their commitment to hybrid technology and reaffirming their position as the largest UK operator of such equipment. This investment brings the average age of the Flannery fleet to under twenty months, ensuring that customers have access to the latest machines and technology.
Flannery Managing Director, Patrick Flannery said: “It is ten years since Komatsu launched its first hybrid excavator. We were early adopters of this technology and are excited to be able to support our customers as they drive greener, more sustainable construction projects.”
Offering a 20% fuel saving over a standard stage 4 engine, the value that these machines will deliver to customers is clear. The machines also offer reduced CO2 emissions and improved control for more productivity and a cleaner output.
Patrick continues: “No doubt our team of around five thousand operators will be pleased with the improved operator environment. Perhaps most importantly for them and our customers are the significant improvements in safety that these machines deliver.”
Matthew Revell, Key Account Manager from Marubeni-Komatsu explained: “From the new Neutral Detection System on the joysticks which reduces the risk of inadvertent operation, to Komatsu’s KomVision visual aid system which delivers a real-time bird’s-eye view on the machine monitor via four networked high definition cameras, this machine has been developed with far more than just productivity and efficiency in mind.”
Focusing on sustainability and innovation adds to Flannery Plant Hire’s compelling proposition. If your site or project would like to talk about the introduction of the HB215LC-3 hybrid excavator, talk to a Flannery product trainer on 0208 900 9290.
