It’s faster to hit target grades accurately with the CAT grade technologies used by the new D8. It can reduce operator input by as much as 80% by automating blade movements during both fine grading and production dozing. Machine telematics can be used to further monitor and improve productivity and fuel consumption.

Safety

Access is made safer with hi-visibility steps, handles and a guard rail, and there’s a Flannery standard green beacon which acts as a secondary dead-man device if the operator does not buckle up.

Innovation

Major structures and components are built to be rebuilt, reducing waste and making maintenance quicker and easier.

Sustainability

The D8 has a Stage IV compliant engine and the semi-universal blade is larger than most, which means more material can be moved in one pass. In fact, more than 15% more material can be moved per hour without burning more fuel.
