In 2019 the HSE reported 54,000 non-fatal injuries to workers in the construction industry, 12% of these involved a person being struck by a moving vehicle. Tragically of the 30 fatal injuries 11% of these were people struck by a moving vehicle. Flannery continue to work closely with our operators, contractors and site personnel to educate and minimise the risk of the people plant interface. We have worked relentlessly over the last few years to develop and implement a People Plant Interface (Thumbs Up) training programme designed to educate all site personnel as to the dangers of plant and machinery on site delivered by our in-house trainer network.
