Employee Spotlight:

At Flannery Plant Hire, we take pride in the dedication and hard work of our team, and today we are excited to highlight the incredible contributions of one of our standout employees, James Murphy. Recently, James received the prestigious Major Civil IDT Recognition Award for his outstanding work on the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) project—a recognition that is thoroughly well-deserved!

James has played an instrumental role in ensuring the smooth operation of all machines on the Civils Blockades. His impeccable coordination ensured that each machine was manned by fully trained and competent operators. Overseeing more than 150 machine shifts, including demanding weekend work, James made certain that not a single machine was left unmanned. This level of dedication and attention to detail is nothing short of remarkable, and it showcases the high standards of planning and execution that James brings to the table every day.

One of the biggest challenges on the TRU project is managing the constant movement and high demand for equipment and skilled operators, especially during weekend blockades. James tackled this challenge head-on, ensuring appropriate cover and transport were always available, allowing operations to continue without interruption. His ability to manage logistics so efficiently is a key reason why the project has stayed on course.

We’re incredibly proud of James and his accomplishments, which are a shining example of the excellence we strive for at Flannery Plant Hire. His recognition with the Major Civil IDT Award speaks volumes about his hard work, leadership, and commitment to the success of the TRU project and our wider operations.
