By collaborating with our customers and clients across the supply chain, we have developed a range of award-winning upskilling modules to support their workforce. These modules are designed to raise awareness of plant safety across site operations.

Loadmaster Training

Aimed at site Foreman, Supervisors, Managers and Planners who are responsible for the safe practice of loading and unloading mobile plant, the award-winning module up-skills site personnel on the correct procedures for the safe loading and unloading of mobile plant. Delivered through a blended approach of theory and practical, on completion of the course delegates should be able to recognise good practice and perceive potential hazards during the loading and unloading activity.

John Moran, Flannery Transport Director commented, “Every year there are approximately 60 -70 overloading events involving plant or equipment coming off the side of HGV’s during the loading/unloading process. By working and collaborating with our customers and clients across the supply chain, we have developed loadmaster to upskill our own workforce and our clients and support their workforce. It sets a standard that was never in existence before. It is a game-changer for the industry and as the rollout continues it helps to reduce near misses and to ensure that everyone gets home safe.”

Delivered using a blended approach of theory and practical elements, on completion of the course delegates should be able to recognise good practice and perceive potential hazards. The course duration is 3 hours.

Red Zone Training

The Flannery Red Zone module raises awareness of the many hazards when working around machinery. The interactive practical session highlights the importance of maintaining the people plant interface and introduces delegates to the dangers when working around the plant, the machine working radius, operator blind spots, machine safety features, thumbs up, and how to approach the machine.
